 Meaning:

Far on in life.

Example;       

My grandmother is well advance in years, yet she’s as strong as she was in her thirty’s.

 

After hours

Meaning:

After the regular hours for business, etc.

Example:

The janitor doesn’t smoke until after hours.

 

Against the clock

Meaning:

In s race with time; in a great hurry.

Example:

In a race against the clock, the husband rushed his wife to the hospital.

 

Ahead of time

Meaning:

Before an agreed or appointed time.

          Example:

                   Our club’s senior president is always ahead of time in all his meetings.

 

Alive with

          Meaning:

                   Teeming with living or moving things.

          Example:

                   Pinamaloy lake in Don Carlos, Bukidnon is alive with various fish and shrimps this year.

 

All gone

          Meaning:

                   Finished; used up; over with.

          Example;

                   We used to go to the ball room on weekends, but those days are all gone.
